A Richard Seymour Reunion?

With the apparent lack of movement lately in Free agency, and the abundance of talent still waiting to be signed, including former Patriots great Richard Seymour. I couldn't help to think to myself what having old 93' back in a Pats Uniform could immediately do to improve our D line! And every day of FA that goes by, with veterans waiting to sign, it is only going to eventually bring down the larger contracts we expected many of these vets sign before FA began. We have seen it happen so far with some FA signings, but just how far below presumed market value many players like Seymour will accept, or have to accept, remains to be seen. But with the abundance of depth at WR, CB, and O & D Lineman in the draft, you have to think that teams would rather take a chance on a rookie contract or 2 with guys they are high on, than a veteran contract that will cost them mucho bucks.

Also, at this point in his career, he might be thinking long term legacy, and more rings rather than Dollars. He has made in the high Tens of millions of dollars just in salary, so money isn't an issue. So if we could potentially get him at something like a 3 year, 11 mil contract with a few million roster bonus, it would be worth it 100% in my mind. Not just because you know hes going to put up 10+ sacks, but all the other things he does makes him all the more valuable. Guys a machine.

We'll have to wait and see since I don't think we'll see many, if any more FA moves until draft weekend when BB will no doubt begin to unleash his master plan. But I know I'll have my fingers crossed to see old #93 back in a Pats uniform!
