Brady's fantasy impact minus Welker and Hernandez

A lot of Patriot fans and fantasy football players are eager to see how Tom Brady performs this year without Wide Receiver Wes Welker and Tight End Aaron Hernandez. A lot of experts are saying his production will drop, but that may not be the case. In past years, Tom Brady has been an elite fantasy player. Besides 2008, where he had a season ending knee injury, he has been a top 5 quarterback every single year. Although Aaron Hernandez took a back seat to Rob Gronkowski at the tight end position, he was still a solid and viable option for Brady to throw to. Welker however, made around 100 catches per year in the years he was with the Patriots, which is astronomical. This happened because a good receiver like him had an elite quarterback throwing him the ball. The fact is, no matter who the wide receiver is, Tom Brady can make him instantly better. In the Monday night game against Houston last year, Brady had a long touchdown pass to Donte Stallworth, a guy who has been basically absent since 2007 and ever since the Houston game. In all, it really does not matter who is the receiver, Tom Brady will still put up elite fantasy numbers. Whether Danny Amendola emerges as a star, or Rob Gronkowski stays healthy, Tom Brady will still be a stellar fantasy option and someone who you should feel safe about drafting in the first round.
