I come here not as a fan of the Patriots, but I am not here to troll either. Many years ago, when I started following the NFL, I lived in New England, but could not bring myself to cheering for the Patriots. That may have had to do with the fact that I was much closer to the New York metropolitan area, than I was to Boston. Nonetheless, I moved away from the area and relocated to a city with no NFL team within 300 miles. This forced me to watch whatever game was on TV, and at some point I ordered NFL Sunday Ticket so that I could watch the games I wanted to watch, not those that the cable companies wanted me to. NFL Sunday Ticket no longer fits in my budget. But, I am now able to watch every Patriots game on TV. I'm not sure that that will turn me into a fan, but I figured I would give watching them a shot. Maybe I will become a supporter one day. For now, I don't really see it happening. I'd like to know how/why you all became fans of the Pats. Understandably, they are the hometown team for many of you. But, for others, they are not. I know winning Super Bowls over the past decade has obviously helped. But, is there any moment or reason that made you a fan? I may join your ranks some day, but for the time being, I plan on watching all Pats games this season, and will try my best to objectively comment as the season goes along.
All the best to you all!
