Tebow is definitely not the answer this year. Even if they wanted to shop Mallet he didn't show enough in preseason (Let's see game 4) to merit a good draft pick. There are too many positions with good bubble players. RB Bolden or Blount, TE Keep Fells, Safety Gregory or Tavon Wilson, Line Cunnigham, Corner Ros Dowling. The pats cannot afford a roster spot for Tebow, and it is unlikely that if they cut him that he would be picked up. The pats could put him on the practice roster and develop him this year (like they have groomed Mallet), and also use him as a QB in practice when they face read option QBs. Clearly he is not ready this year. My question is should the pats cut Tebow at the 75 player mark to give him more time to possibly make another team, or should they hold until 53 man cuts so they have better chance of keeping him. For those of you that think he should stay there is that option. The only way I think he makes roster is Belichik has uses for fim at fullback or TE that he hasn't shown anyone yet. Otherwise i would rather have extra depth at one of the competitive positions. Most of those players would be picked up off waivers.
