It’s preseason finale day! Tonight, the New England Patriots will host the New York Giants in the team’s final preseason match-up. Actually, tonight there will be 16 total match-ups around the league as all 32 teams conclude their preseason.
After a down performance against the Lions last week, the Patriots starters may actually get a bit of run tonight against the Giants. I wouldn’t expect Tom Brady and company to play more than a series or so, but I do think that they will look to get the sour taste of the first four quarter turnovers in Detroit out of their mouths.
Of course, tonight will be all about the fringe players and the back-end of the roster. There will be a lot of attention on quarterback Tim Tebow, who is fighting for his job as the team’s third quarterback. If he plays anything like he did against the Bucs two weeks ago, he’ll probably be looking for work after Saturday’s cutdowns.
