Patriots Extend Rob Ninkovich Until 2016

Mike Reiss and others report the Patriots have reached a contract extension with "Jet Killer" Rob Ninkovich making him a Patriot through the 2016 season.

The Patriots have agreed to the three year contract extension with defensive end Rob Ninkovich keeping him on the team through the 2016 season per ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss.

Rob Ninkovich is currently on a two year, $4 million dollar contract that was set to expire following the 2013 season.  Ninkovich, 29, has 14 tackles, 4 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and a forced fumble in the first 2 weeks of 2013.  He has averaged over 54 tackles per season and tolaled 19 sacks and 4 interceptions since joining the team in 2009.
