2014 Draft with some offseason predictions

As disappointing as it is to not reach the Super Bowl it was a good season except for all of our guys getting injured. With a good offseason we stand as good of a chance if not better of getting to the Super Bowl next year. My mock will include trades, but before I do my draft I have a prediction for a couple key FA of ours.

First of all Im guessing Edelman and Talib sign with other teams. I have a hard time seeing BB giving a bunch of cash to one player when we do not have the best CAP situation.

1st round-I think BB will trade down. I think a reasonable trade would be we receive a early to mid 2nd, 4th, and a 7th.

Early to Mid 2nd round-Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE. With Gronk coming of a knee injury we eally need to find a guy who can be a good backup/replace Gronk if he is out.

He had very good seal blocks on the edge and on 2 of the catches he made the first guy miss and didn't go down on first contact. He is also 6'6" so he can definitely help in the red zone. His 40 time is projected to be around 4.75 so he isn't just a red zone weapon.

Our 2nd round pick- Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB. We need some taller CBs. He fits the bill at 6'3". I live in Nebraska so I got all their games and as I was watching him he reminded me of Brandon Browner from the Seahawks. He had 4 INTs and 11 PDs his final year.

Our 3rd round pick- Daniel McCullers DT. At 6'7" and 348 pounds this guy is huge. Although he does sometimes come up to high in his stance and get blocked easy that is fixable with coaching. With Wilfork coming of an injury we need a guy who can take over for Wilfork and if McCullers can keep his pad level low he could be an excellent replacement for Wilfork.

The 4th picked up from trading back- I think we should package it with our 4th and trade back into the 3rd.

3rd from trading up. Telvin Smith ILB. He has been brought up a couple times in other mock drafts and I like the guy. We need someone who can cover TEs and RBs to back up Collins and there is talk he might have to move to S but I know BB can find a way to get him on the field and get production from him. I know you may say he wont be here at this point but with the work out and combine stuff to come we really don't have much of a clue. Heck with a good work out he might go late 1st.

6th form Eagles-Colt Lyerla TE. We all know the story with Lyerla and the state of our TE position. Considering his talent I have no problem spending a 6th on him.

Our 6th-Aaron Colvin CB. He was mocked to go in the 2nd or 3rd before his knee injury. Although he only had 1 INT this year he had 4 his junior year. We can just stash him on IR this year and then next year after he has recovered bring him into camp. I like him I saw a couple of his games and he looks like he could be a solid CB in the future.

7th from trading out of the 1st- Hakeem Smith SS. I couldnt find any video of this guy but I was reading about him on and they were saying he is a decent cover S and had 3 INTs and 5 PD.

Our 7th- Dri Archer WR/RB. If Vereen went down we dont really have a 3rd down/shiftier RB to back him up. Archer's best season was 2012. He had 159 carries for 1429 yards and 16 TDs plus 39 catches for 561 yards and 4 TDs. Thats an average carry of 9 yards and average catch of 14.4 yards.

I know some of you will call for my head on silver platter because I didn't draft any OL. But I didn't get to excited about the linemen available in the draft and I think we should address OL in FA. Well what do you guys think of my draft?
