Possible FA WR target?? What do you guys think??

Well since it is slow at this time in the year news wise especially for the Patriots I have been checking out articles on Gang Green Nation and a lot of them are talking about going after Jeremy Maclin. That got me thinking could Maclin help us if he signed with us. He is 6' and runs about a 4.4 40 and is a good route runner. His stats for last year were 69 catches, 857 yards, and 7 TDs. His worst year was in 2009 and his stats were as follows 55 catches, 762 yards, and 4 TDs which was his rookie year which those stats are pretty good for a rookie WR. He can stretch the field vertically and as his stats indicate is a solid player. His best year was 70 catches, 964 yards and 10 TDs so if he is healthy he can be a good No. 2 WR. I will now proceed too give my reason why he could possibly sign with us.

No. 1. He is coming of a ACL injury so he will probably be looking for a cheaper 1 year maybe 2 year deal to prove he is healthy and after that look for the big contract and he is only 25 but has 4 years experience in the league which I think we could use the experience at the WR position.

No. 2 He has a chance to put up BIG numbers in our offense. His rehab is going well and it looks like he should be ready to go by the time training camp rolls around. So with our offense being one of the better offenses in the league as long as he can learn the playbook he has a very good chance to put up big numbers and possibly be able to get a bigger contract than he would if he goes to a team with questionable offense like say the Jets.

Well there are my reasons for at the least looking into him and at least make a call to his agent see if he has interest in signing with us. I would be okay with him as an addition as long as his deal has little to no guaranteed money and his rehab is on schedule. What do ya'll think about him as a possible FA addition?
