The New England Patriots officially announced that they have released long snapper Tyler Ott and linebacker Deontae Skinner together with cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (as reported earlier):

Tyler Ott originally signed with the Patriots after going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent parts of the offseason program in New England but was waived in August. The former Harvard long snapper re-joined the Patriots in March 2015. Ott's release can be interpreted as a good sign regarding fifth round draft choice Joe Cardona, who still waits for NFL clearance by the Navy.
Deontae Skinner was also signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent out of Mississippi State after the 2014 draft. In September, after Jerod Mayo's season ending injury, he was signed to the active roster and appeared in seven regular season games. Skinner was released in October and joined New England's practice squad.
