With the AFC Championship Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers a mere three days away, the New England Patriots have held another practice today. The session took place on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium in sunny and warm conditions.
And not only the weather was perfect, attendance was as well as a look at today’s injury report shows:
Limited participation
WR Danny Amendola (ankle)
TE Martellus Bennett (knee)
RB Brandon Bolden (knee)
LB Dont’a Hightower (shoulder)
WR Chris Hogan (thigh)
WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee)
DE Jabaal Sheard (knee)
As the list shows, there have been no changes from yesterday’s report: All seven players listed above were limited on Wednesday as well. Consequently it seems as if their availability for Sunday’s game will either be decided tomorrow or at the latest on game day.
Considering that every player on the active roster was practicing today -- the lone absentee was practice squad defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton --, the team is in solid physical condition heading into the conference title game.
The same cannot be said about the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have the flu going around their locker room:
