GMC Tweet a Pro: Rob Gronkowski
With the Patriots facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, Pats Pulpit has teamed up with GMC to provide you some exclusive Patriots content (including an interview with Aaron Hernandez later in the week) in the lead-up to the game.
The first opportunity we're bringing you is the ability to "Tweet a Pro." GMC, in its Monday Night Football lead-up, allows fans to submit questions to some of their favorite NFL players. At the end of the week, the player chosen for each team will then answer fan questions via video. This week, Patriots fans will have the opportunity to ask questions to Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
In order to have your question answered, you must tweet @ThisIsGMC, @RobGronkowski with the hashtag #tweetpro.
This is a really cool opportunity to have your questions answered by one of the very best tight ends in the game, so I highly encourage you to submit your questions! Here's a video from Mike Tirico with detailed instructions:
And the Pats Pulpit "Boldest" Fan is....
Last week, we announced that we would be holding nominations and votes for who the Pats Pulpit and Patriots "Boldest Fans" were, as part of a sponsored campaign from Guiness. We'll announce the Patriots fan later today, but for now we'll reveal our very own "Boldest" fan....
It's Marima!
Marie, better known as Marima to all Pulpiteers, has tirelessly been providing Patriots fans with the Daily Links on Pats Pulpit for the better portion of four years. A Patriots Super Mom, Marie has posted nearly 1,400 articles and 12,000 comments in her time at Pats Pulpit. Talk about dedication!
Now, feel free to shower Marima with all of the compliments possible. She certainly deserves it!

Pats Pulpit Official Fantasy Football
Update: Included the League ID# for those who didn't have it.
With the NFL Lockout officially lifted and teams reporting to training camp as early as Wednesday, it's also time to look towards the 2011 fantasy football season. That being said, SB Nation and Yahoo! Sports have teamed up to bring you the official fantasy football league of Pats Pulpit for the 2011 season.
Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football is the number one fantasy football game that has over 5 million users. It is easy to use, has easy customization, and best of all is free! There are plenty of social networking features in the platform, and users can access their teams through their mobile devices and even their iPads (new this year).
All of that being said, here is some basic info on the league:
- 12 teams, 4 divisions
- 6 playoff teams (division winners plus two wildcards)
- Basic scoring rules
- 16 man rosters (with one flex WR/RB/TE position)
- Live draft on Friday, September 2nd at 8:00 PM ET
If you want to sign up, all you need is a Yahoo! account, and the league username and password. The league id is "171020" and the password is "patspulpit." Since this is only a twelve team league, we will open a second league and possibly more if enough people are interested. So please, don't hesitate to sign up! We can also move the draft time if necessary.
Yahoo! Fantasy Football supports SB Nation and pigskin awesomeness. It’s also the #1 Fantasy Football game thanks to dazzling player research, instant stats with free live scoring, iPhone, Android, and iPad apps this season. Plus, new scoring categories for long receptions and rush plays. (Yes!) Sign up at yahoo.com/fantasyfootball.
