RE:
The game wasn't the prettiest, but they got it done. The Pats showed a lot of heart and determination. There were some stupid moments (Wilfork: poking eyes? Harrison: 15 yard penalty? WTF?!) but overall it was a strong victory. The Giants played a really great game.

Yep, lots of stupidity for both teams
I hope we see none of that from Patriots players in the playoffs, but clearly there were tempers flaring on both sides.

RE:
And the thing is, Rodney should know better than that. He's a great player but he has these stupid moments where he costs the team yards. He does it quite often. And Wilfork? He's one of the nicest guys on the Pats team and he's putting his fingers in another man's face? I don't think he was trying to poke anyone's eyes out, but that doesn't matter because it LOOKED like it.

Stupid penalties can cost any team, any season. I hope it doesn't happen to us.

The game was a pressure cooker
and it could have been much worse.  I thought both teams packed enough pride and competetiveness in there for a great game.

Absolutely correct
Harrison's penalty may have been the difference between 38-35, needing to recover the onside, and 38-28. I never saw a replay though, so I don't even know what he did.

Wilfork's display may have been even worse, and the Patriots were just lucky no official saw it. Clearly he was just trying to get under Jacobs's skin as the Giants were doing to New England all game long. That's no excuse.

I'm sure Bill Belichick is going to make Harrison's, Wilfork's and a couple others' lives miserable for a couple days to ensure that those things don't happen in the playoffs.

Wilfork may still be punished
I'd bet he'll at least get fined for it.

what lead up to that?
I saw the replay of him poking through the facemask, but I have no idea what just preceded that.

anybody else see anything?

No idea
But it doesn't matter. There's no excuse for doing it.

Congratulations!
Above all a great game to watch, and plenty of class to go around (except maybe harrison, but what you see is what you get.)

This is a heck of a feather to stick in your cap, regardless of what the future holds for your franchise.

Oh, and for long time Pats fans...

Congratu-FREAKING-lations!!
