Patriots Links for Sunday, 12/30
Congratulations to the 2007 16-0 New England Patriots!
Between the sheer volume of stories about the Patriots and my travel plans to Boston today, I don't have time to post links to everything (and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to post over the next few days I'm in Boston), but all the links are on the front page of every relevant site (ESPN.com, SI.com, NFL.com), so they shouldn't be too hard to find.
Update [2007-12-30 14:44:41 by tommasse]::
I'll help out Michael a bit here.
From the Boston Herald:
- Karen Guregian talks records and perfection and how the Patriots have another place in history.
- Guregian sums up Randy Moss's cash incentives and how his cut in base salary suddenly doesn't hurt so much.
- John Tomase agrees with me, the Patriots are the best team ever.
- The Wet Blanket continues to talk about how poorly the Patriots played. Very Belichickian, but give it a rest.
- Tomase also reports that Rodney Harrison said the Giants were trying to take out his knees, a la Tennessee's Bobby Wade.
- More from Tomase: his Patriots postseason awards. I'll have mine New Year's day.
- The Patriots didn't pile up ground yardage last night, but Mitch Abramson writes about New England's running revivial.
From The Boston Globe:
- Christopher Gasper's game recap.
- Jackie MacMullan's column on Brady's and Moss's records and what the final hookup means.
- Dan Shaughnessy examines the unexpected drama in the finale.
- Mike Reiss has a look at the offensive line.
- Michael Vega recounts the Patriots' 12th Man's impact.
- Reiss and Gasper combine efforts to collect comments from some '72 Dolphins.
From the Providence Journal:
- Shalize Manza Young touches on the perfect season.
- Jim Donaldson talks about the great: the Patriots and Tom Brady.
- Donaldson also has Moss's great smackdown of the haters. Excellent
- Manza Young has more '72 Dolphins' comments.
- Donaldson agrees with Tomase and me.
- Donaldson comments on Bill Belichick's postgame demeanor.
We'll try to have more links from more local outlets later. Feel free to post any you deem relevant.

Three items from Rich Garvin
- A game recap.
- A facts and figures summary.
- A feature on Ellis Hobbs, who had big plays in New England's two visits to Giants Stadium this season.
From the Nashua Telegraph:
- Tom King recaps the game.
From the Cape Cod Times:
- Russ Charpentier thanks the Patriots on behalf of the fans.
- The Associated Press's game recap.
- AP columnist Jim Litke opines on Brady, Moss.
From the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune:
- Bill Burt offers his opinion on the achievement, but he uses "ain't" unnecessarily.
- Burt supports the greatest quarterback, greatest team theory.
- Hecto Longo questions the wisdom of both head coaches for trying to win a game that ultimately "doesn't matter" to either one of them. (You know that look Bill Parcells give those guys in the beer commercial when they say, "don't you mean down to 33 or 34"? He'd give Longo that look, too.)
