Per a report from Scott Isaacs, Executive Sports Producer at WCVB-TV in Boston, Tom Brady's personal quarterback coach, Tom Martinez, has died from a heart attack while undergoing kidney dialysis. He was 66 today.

Vrabel would "Go back to New England in a heartbeat"

Mike Vrabel says he'd come back to New England in a heart beat, but doesn't feel like they would want him. I'd sure love to bring him in for another year. He could contribute and help bring along any LB we (hopefully) draft this year. Would be great to see him retire as a Patriot too.

Mike Reiss: Rookie reporting day and the status of their contracts

Patriots rookies report for training camp today. At this time, nine of the team's 12 draft choices have signed contracts. The team's top draft choice, safety Patrick Chung (34th overall), has yet to come to terms. Veterans are due to report on Wednesday, with the first open practice scheduled for Thursday.

Christopher Price: Pats, Vollmer reach preliminary agreement on contract

WEEI.com has learned the Patriots and second-round draft pick Sebastian Vollmer have preliminarily agreed on a contract. Vollmer, an offensive lineman out of the University of Houston, was the 58th overall pick in the 2009 draft. If the deal is signed, the 24-year-old Vollmer would be the fourth of New England’s 12 draft picks to agree to a contract — fellow second-round pick Darius Butler, fourth-round selection Rich Ohrnberger and sixth-round pick Myron Pryor are all reportedly in the fold.
