Who Should the Pats Go After?
Let's make it short and sweet.
This morning, I heard John Dennis and Gerry Callahan on WEEI talking about potential trades. The big argument was whether the Patriots should make a move for Oakland Raiders wide receiver and general trouble-finder Randy Moss, an extremely talented if much misguided and maligned player.
Callahan says yes. Dennis says no, and offers Jerry Porter as a reasonable alternative.
I wouldn't call Dennis and Callahan a consensus by any stretch, but I think most fans would say that if the Patriots need anything, it's a receiver. Of course, they've been saying that since Stanley Morgan retired.
What do you think? Is Moss the answer? How about Porter? Any other trade ideas? Don't forget: You have to give up something to get something, so don't just say, "We should get Anquan Boldin for a kicking tee and a bag of balls."
OK. Have at it.
