San Diego Newspaper: Harrison Finished

Harrison Has 'Slight' ACL Tear
Patriots Safety Out for Playoffs

Jim Trotter of the San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison has a "slight tear" of his anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the remainder of the playoffs.

Trotter attributes his information to a "source familiar with the situation." The Patriots have not confirmed.

Harrison's right knee was injured in the Patriots regular season finale when Tennessee Titans wide receiver took out Harrison's knees on a low block on an outside running play. Harrison tore all three major knee ligaments in his left knee in a 2005 game against Pittsburgh that left him on injured reserve for the season.

The Boston Herald's Albert Breer is reporting that both injuries involve Harrison's right knee.
