Injury Report (Thursday): Patriots @ Cowboys (Week 6)

Patriots Injuries Piling Up
Samuel, Thomas Add to Concerns

The New England Patriots now have 11 players listed on their midweek injury report. In addition to last week's carryovers, the Patriots have added key players Asante Samuel and Adalius Thomas, both of whom sustained injuries in Sunday's 34-17 win over Cleveland. Both returned to play during the game.

Samuel (foot) and Thomas (ankle) are among 9 players who were limited in practice both Wednesday and Thursday. Returning to LPiP status are Randall Gay, Dan Koppen, Laurence Maroney, Stephen Neal, Donté Stallworth and Kelley Washington.

Koppen did not play last week; Russ Hochstein played in his place. Maroney sat out for his second straight week. Sammy Morris had his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game in Maroney's stead.

Kevin Faulk, who was injured during the second quarter against the Browns and did not return to that game, is not listed in the report.

Dallas starting cornerback Anthony Henry has yet to participate in practice this week. Most other injuries are to second stringers.

Players are shown under their current practice status.

  • A checkmark indicates the player's status was the same on the indicated day.
  • A different colored block with an acronym indicates that player's different status on another day.
