Patriots No. 1, Cowboys No. 3
For what it's worth, your New England Patriots have been ranked first in SB Nation's NFL Power Rankings every week for their 4-week existence. I guess that's a record. Several records, really: Most weeks in first (sounds like something Dan Douquette would say), most consecutive weeks in first, most something something. That streak is in danger when the Patriots visit the No. 3 team in the rankings on Sunday. The Dallas Cowboys started in 5th place after Week 2, moved up a spot the following week, notched another spot forward after Week 4, and remain there, waiting for their shot at the top.
The rich get richer, as New England and Indy improved their rating scores. The Patriots have a rating of 1.24 (1.33 after last week), the Colts are 1.82 (up from 2.00). The Cowboys are 3.12, falling a miniscule .01 after their last-second, 1-point win over Buffalo.

The top three teams remain the same. At least one of those teams will have a loss before the next round of voting. It will be interesting to see how one loss affects the rankings.
Otherwise, Pittsburgh moves past Green Bay for 4th, and Jacksonville and Tennessee move up together into 6th and 7th. Several teams took tumbles, including Detroit (from 8th to 16th) and Denver (from 11th to 19th). The New York Giants and San Diego Chargers both jumped five spots from 17th and 18th to 12th and 13th.
