Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Roger Staubach connection

By the way, I mentioned in the Dallas postgame story that Brady tied Roger Staubach for the most wins by any quarterback in their first 100 starts with 76. Staubach played for Dallas, which is serendipity enough. But Staubach played his collegiate ball at Navy. Do you know who was the top scout at Navy at that time? It was Bill Belichick's late father Steve.

According to The Education of a Coach by the late David Halberstam, the elder Belichick would bring his son to Navy's practices, and Staubach would throw passes to Billy. Billy grew up to coach the man that would tie Staubach's record.

Just thought you should know.
