Only One Player Listed on Patriots Injury Report
Somebody note the date. The New England Patriots have just one player listed on their injury report today.
Tom Brady is listed as probable.
Of course, since Brady has been listed on every report since the dawn of history, there will still be some people claiming that Bill Belichick fabricates the Patriots' injury reports.
Defensive end Jarvis Green, linebacker Adalius Thomas, guard Stephen Neal and safety Eugene Wilson had been listed early this week in the practice report. Neither Green nor Thomas participated in practice on Wednesday, and Green did not practice Thursday. Neal and Wilson were limited in practice Wednesday. That's it.
This is definitely a new experience for Patriots fans. A healthy team. Let's hope it stays that way for another 10 weeks.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia has a few problems. Quarterback Donovan McNabb is doubtful after injuring his ankle last week against Miami. Not showing on the injury report is an injury to McNabb's thumb on his throwing hand, which he also hurt against Miami. It's likely Philly will field A.J. Feeley on Sunday.
Whoever lines up under center may also be without starting left tackle Tra Thomas, who has missed significant practice time with an illness. He's listed as questionable. The Eagles have half a dozen players listed as probable, notably safety Brian Dawkins and linebacker Takeo Spikes.
- FPiP = Full Participation in Practice.
- LPiP = Limited Participation in Practice.
- DNPiP = Did Not Participate in Practice.
- NL = Not Listed.
