John Tomase of the Boston Herald is reporting that the New England Patriots have placed linebacker Rosevelt Colvin on injured reserve.
Colvin was injured Sunday night in New England's win against the Philadelphia Eagles. The team reported that he injured a foot in the game, but trainers appeared to be looking at Colvin's arm. After the game, when informed of the contradiction, Belichick was surprised that the team reported the injury as a foot. "Then, we'll leave it at that," Belichick said.
The Patriots signed linebacker Chad Brown to fill Colvin's roster spot, but clearly Brown is a significant drop in talent from Colvin.
New England also waived defensive lineman Kareem Brown to make room for WR Troy Brown.
