WR Chad Jackson has torn ACL

WR Jackson Hurt in AFC Title Game
Patriots Place 'Injury-Prone' Tag on Rook

Is it time to label rookie wide receiver Chad Jackson "injury prone"?

Mike Reiss of The Boston Globe is reporting that Jackson tore his ACL in the Patriots AFC Championship loss to the Colts a month ago.

Jackson, who was sidelined with multiple and recurring injuries all season and had just 13 catches, is rapidly ruining his pro career. Recovery from a torn ACL ranges from 6-12 months, and there is about 6 months to the season opener (including the last month since the injury makes seven).

Jackson was drafted in the second round last year, and his presence was supposed to alleviate the losses of David Givens and, later, Deion Branch. That, we all know, never materialized.

I'll have more on Jackson, Asante Samuel, the Colts, Tennessee's Adam Jones, and lots more in the coming days.
