Pats Pulpit is looking for a few good armchair coaches

As we progress through preseason and the corresponding games, there's a lot to focus on.  There's a number of position battles and folks on the bubble; keeping track of all that and making predictions can be somewhat daunting, mostly because I'm aging and, at times, feel slightly senile (actually, raising two daughters has sapped the life out of me, but that's another story).  So, what am I thinking?

Well, I need some volunteers.  I need folks to play armchair position coach and track that position's progress through the preseason.  Each Pats Pulpit Position Coach will be responsible for watching their area and filling the game threads with commentary about that position.  I'd also ask that you write up your thoughts within a day or so of a game and send them to patspulpit at gmail.com.  I will compile and post a consolidated story with everyone's ramblings...ehhrr...thoughtful analysis.  As you observe things throughout the week, I'd also like to see your thoughts and opinions to the same email address; I may consolidate or use your email as a quote in another story.

So, here's the positions.  Chime in with a comment as to which position you'd like to take.  I'm reserving offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, and head coach as I haven't decided how to handle those.  Here goes:

  • Quarterbacks
  • Running Backs
  • Receivers
  • Offensive Line
  • Tight Ends
  • Defensive Line
  • Linebackers
  • Defensive Backs
  • Special Teams

First come, first served.
