Some news for this weekend. Team ratings, as well as some drafted players' ratings, have been released. Not much more substance, beyond discussion:
Notably:
#1 New Orleans Saints - 92
#2 Indianapolis Colts - 91
#3 Baltimore Ravens - 90
#4 New York Jets - 89
#8 New England Patriots - 86
#16 Miami Dolphins - 79
#31 Buffalo Bills - 67
The Patriots dropped 2 points from last season, most likely due to not having a player emerge at the RDE position Richard Seymour left vacant. Also, I'm assuming Randy Moss dropped in points. In addition, I believe that our lack of a strong OLB opposite of Tully Banta-Cain hurts the team rating.
Individual Draftees after the jump!
Here's a .pdf file containing the first 5 rounds of draftees:
#27 CB Devin McCourty: 74
Compared with:
#7 CB Joe Haden: 79
#20 CB Kareem Jackson: 70
#29 CB Kyle Wilson: 76
#42 TE Rob Gronkowski: 77
Compared with:
#21 TE Jermaine Gresham: 78
#53 OLB Jermaine Cunningham: 53
Compared with:
#43 OLB Sergio Kindle: 78
#52 OLB Jason Worilds: 63
#54 DE Carlos Dunlap: 74
#62 ILB Brandon Spikes: 72
Compared with:
#8 ILB Rolando McClain: 79
#55 ILB Sean Lee: 69
#90 WR Taylor Price: 55
Compared with:
#77 WR Damian Williams: 74
#78 WR Brandon LaFell: 71
#87 WR Eric Decker: 66
So what does this mean? Nothing at all. Just something fun to look at, discuss and share our outrage at how Devin McCourty wasn't rated higher than Kyle Wilson.
