Reports have appeared stating that Jets CB Darrelle Revis won't be spending all day with Patriots WR Randy Moss on an island. Revis spent last season and the summer months talking about how Moss was a slouch last season, adding fuel to the Patriots-Jets rivalry fire. Anticipation rose this past week, as fans waited to see the Revis and Moss showdown this Sunday. Well, don't hold your breath.
Revis won't be covering Moss all game- if at all.
Last week, Revis was run ragged against the Ravens. No, there weren't any passes completed against him, but he was reported having a sore/tight hamstring this past week. His body is reacting to skipping training camp and this change of coverage is the Jets' way of saying, "Welker is the Patriots' #1 weapon...but Revis can't stick with Moss at this point in time."
Moss won't be able to rub a big game in Revis' face because Revis will be on Welker. Once again, the Jets have shown they're mostly talk. Yap, yap, yap.
Enjoy the game!
