According to a report from the National Football Post, the New England Patriots are showing a lot of interest in Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter:

Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter is rising on draft boards and is scheduled to visit the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, San Diego Chargers and the New Orleans Saints, according to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation.

Hunter is also slated to conduct private workouts with the Denver Broncos, Saints and Patriots.

Hunter stands at just over 5'7" and weighs in at 199 lbs. Despite his small size for a running back, Hunter is compact and a very tough runner who runs very hard and can break some tackles. He has good break away speed (4.46), and also has good change of direction ability. Although his injury history should be evaluated (missed most of 2009 with an ankle injury), and he could use some fine-tuning as both a blocker and receiver, his toughness, production, instincts, and athleticism make him very intriguing as a day two prospect.

Should the Patriots look to draft Hunter (and they do seem very interested), it would likely be somewhere in round two, whether it be with the 33rd, 60th, or some other pick.
