Rex Ryan challenges the rest of the league to beat the Patriots in his latest press conference.
On if the Jets are the favorite to win the division…
In my mind. I don’t know about everybody else’s. The first year I got in we were supposed to win six games or five games or four games. I don’t know what the experts say, I just know what I believe in my heart and that’s that this is going to be our year. Again, I think we have to find somebody out there to beat New England besides us, and I think that would help. Anybody out there that wants to sign up for it? Are you good enough as a team to beat the New England Patriots. Forget about us, are you good enough to go out and beat the New England Patriots? I’m challenging the league.
Karen Guregian says the Brady-Moss show was that good, that compelling. It was must-see viewing, even for opposing fans.
But here, within the realm of Gillette Stadium, there was so much more to Moss beyond all the oddities and complexities. We got a slice of him and his unique athletic gifts that won’t be forgotten. From a pure football perspective, he’s bound for Canton as a Hall of Famer. With 954 catches, 14,858 yards and 153 touchdowns, there isn’t much doubt.
Included in his 13 NFL seasons was one magical year he gave the Patriots in 2007. Moss was god-like. He and Tom Brady [stats] hooked up for an aerial show like no other.
Game after game, the dynamic duo kept fans on the edge of their seats. Game after game, the atmosphere was electric when the offense took the field.
