In two weeks, when the New England Patriots host a playoff game in the Divisional Round of the 2011 NFL playoffs, we don't exactly know who the team will be playing (it will be either the Broncos, Steelers, or Bengals). However, we do know when they will be playing as the NFL has recently released the playoff schedule.
The Patriots will play the night game on Saturday, January 14th. It will be televised on CBS at 8:00 PM ET.
In terms of Wild Card weekend games that could effect the Patriots' opponent: the Bengals and Texans play at 4:30 PM ET on Saturday, January 7th on NBC. If the Bengals win that game, the Patriots will host them on the 14th.
If the Texans win, the Patriots will automatically play the winner of the Denver Broncos / Pittsburgh Steelers game. That game takes place on Sunday the 8th at 4:30 PM ET on CBS. That game is the late game on Sunday.
Looking ahead, if the Patriots were to win the Divisional Playoff game (knock on wood), the team would host the winner of the Ravens game for the AFC Championship on Sunday, January 22 at 3:00 PM ET on CBS.
