Pats Pulpit Week 6 NFL Picks

Greg Knopping of Pats Pulpit makes his picks for week six of the 2012 NFL season!

My week six picks:

Oakland Raiders at Atlanta Falcons: Atlanta has to fall at some point, but I don't see the Raiders being the team to knock them off, especially when the Falcons are at home. Falcons 30 Raiders 17

Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens: Tony Romo is looking to shrug off his terrible five interception game against the Bears, and will find himself going up against a tough Baltimore defense on the road. I think he'll recover, but not enough to pull off the win. Ravens 26 Cowboys 20

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns: Cincinnati really played awful against the Miami Dolphins last week, and against a lowly 0-5 Browns team, you have to think they'll recover. Bengals 31 Browns 12

St. Louis Rams at Miami Dolphins: This game features a match-up of two teams performing better than most expected heading into the season, but don't look ready to be in playoff contention just yet. I like the Dolphins here, as had a few things gone right earlier in the year, they could be looking at a 4-1 start instead of 2-3. Dolphins 20 Rams 17

Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets: Both of these teams seem to be on opposite courses at the moment: the Colts are feeling good after an emotional come from behind win over the Packers, whilst the Jets don't have many reasons to feel optimistic, after back-to-back dreadful performances. I don't know why, but something tells me the Jets come away with the victory here, with the odds being stacked against them. Jets 20 Colts 19

Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles: Two teams with supremely talented players, but vastly underperforming teams. At least the Eagles are 3-2. Eagles 31 Lions 24

Kansas City Chiefs at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: It seems that I pick the Chiefs every week, and that they let me down every time. Now that I'm ready to pick against them, watch them beat Tampa Bay on the road. Buccaneers 24 Chiefs 17

Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals look to bounce back form a poor performance against the Rams against the Bills. The good news for them: they're playing the Bills. Cardinals 27 Bills 16

New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers: The 49ers know they should have beat the Giants in the 2011 NFC Championship, and revenge is going to be on their minds this afternoon. 49ers 30 Giants 14

Minnesota Vikings at Washington Redskins: I'm going with Washington for two reasons here: 1. Minnesota is due for a loss and 2. Washington is due for a win after three close losses in their first five games. And, oh yeah, RGIII is back. Redskins 24 Vikings 20

Green Bay Packers at Houston Texans: This is about as good of a Sunday Night game as you could ask for. The big question on everybody's minds, are the Packers still a contender after a 2-3 start? I think they have a lot to prove, and I see them pulling off the big upset on the road. Packers 34 Texans 31

Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers: This is a very critical game early in the year that could have an impact down the stretch on the AFC West race. It should be a close game, but I expect Peyton Manning and the Broncos to bounce back after two straight losses. Broncos 27 Chargers 24
