Coming off of a huge 27-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams, the 4-6 New York Jets will look to make up some ground in the AFC East against the New England Patriots on Thanksgiving night.
The Jets might sit at 4-6, but let me be clear; New York can be a very dangerous football team, and a lot of it has to do with the players listed in this article.
With that being said, let's take a look at three New York Jets that the Patriots should look out for.
1. Antonio Cromartie
With Darrelle Revis tearing his ACL earlier this season and being placed on injured reserve on October 12, fellow cornerback Antonio Cromartie has really stepped up his game as New York's No. 1 cornerback.
Cromartie enters Thursday's game with 10 pass deflections, three interceptions and a defensive touchdown.
There's no question that Cromartie is one of the most athletic and biggest playmakers in the NFL today, so I would only imagine that Tom Brady and the Patriots will be very careful when throwing the ball his way.
2. Dustin Keller
Tight end Dustin Keller has had quite the injury-plagued season, but ever since he's returned, he's been Mark Sanchez's most effective weapon.
When the Jets and Patriots first met this season back in Week 7, Keller was targeted seven times as he reeled in all seven of those passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.
It always seems like Keller does well against New England and I think it's safe to call him a "Patriot-Killer."
3. Jeremy Kerley
You might look at New York's wide receivers and might not be impressed at all, but you can't overlook them—especially Jeremy Kerley.
Kerley is New York's leading receiver as he's recorded 38 receptions for 578 yards and two touchdowns.
If Sanchez can get Kerley the ball in stride and in space, then he can certainly do some damage against New England's shaky secondary.
