The Patriots are reportedly showing interest in a couple of LSU draft prospects. New Era Scouting's Matt Miller is reporting that the team will host defensive lineman Michael Brockers on one of its 30 pre-draft visits, and will also hold a private workout with cornerback Ron Brooks.

Michael Brockers is obviously the big name here. We've talked about him a few different times in this space. While he ran a slow time in the 40 yard dash, he's a versatile defensive lineman who is underrated athletically. He could likely play any spot on the Patriots defensive line. He's been widely regarded as a top-15 draft pick, although some have had him falling to the Patriots at 27 in recent mock drafts.

LSU cornerback Ron Brooks is also an interesting prospect. He's currently projected to go later in the draft. At 5'10" and 190 lbs, he doesn't have great size. However, he makes up for it with his athleticism (4.37, 38" vertical). He played in 52 games with LSU and is an average cover corner with pretty good instincts. He would make some sense in the fourth - sixth round, especially if the Patriots pick up a late round pick in a trade.
