The New England Patriots added two more defensive players on Day two of the 2012 NFL Draft, as they added both safety Tavon Wilson out of Illinois with the No. 48 overall selection and then traded the No. 62 overall section to Green Bay for the No. 90 and No. 163 overall selections and took DE Jake Baquette out of Arkansas at No. 90.
For me, it was a mixed day for me. For starters, I'm still scratching my head with the Wilson pick when Johnson, Hayward and other defensive backs were still on the board. My guess is that Belichick sees potential that others don't in a guy that wasn't projected to go until the sixth round. It's sort of a wait and see with him. However, I loved the Baquette pick. He's got great versatility and I think he'll fit in nicely.
