In 2012, Brady became just the second quarterback after John Elway to lead his team to five Super Bowls. His quest for a fourth win ended in defeat at the hands of the New York Giants. Brady signed a four-year, $72 million contract extension with the New England Patriots in 2010 that runs through 2014. The seven-time Pro Bowler has endorsement deals with Under Armour and UGGs.

Logan Mankins, an offensive lineman, made an unprecedented $21.9 million with over $100,000 of endorsements. He sits tied with former Patriot and current Oakland Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour. Check out Mankins' resume:

Mankins missed half of the 2010 season in a holdout after being unhappy with his contract with the New England Patriots. Mankins and the Pats made up in 2011 when the four-time Pro Bowler signed a six-year, $52 million deal that was the biggest ever at the time for a guard.

Topping the 2011 list was boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. with an estimated earning total of $85 million. Peyton Manning was the highest paid football player, earning an estimated $42.4 million this past year.
