SB Nation Re-Ranks the NFL Top 10

New, comments

Last night, many Patriots fans were disappointed with the final installment of the NFL's Top 100, which revealed the top ten players, and had Patriots quarterback Tom Brady slide three spots down from 2011 into #4. That being said, SB Nation's Joel Thorman has opted to re-rank the NFL's Top 10, and it includes a bump up for Tom Brady to the #2 spot:

He was ranked fourth on NFL Network's list, but Brady deserves to be higher than that. Looking at his career numbers, he hasn't slipped at all. Brady had a career best 5,235 yards passing last season and threw 39 touchdowns to just 12 interceptions. Drew Brees puts up huge numbers, too, but comparing what each quarterback has to work with, Brady has the edge.

For those interested, here is the entirety of Thorman's top 10:

  1. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers
  2. Tom Brady, QB, Patriots
  3. Drew Brees, QB, Saints
  4. Darrelle Revis, CB, Jets
  5. Jared Allen, DE, Vikings
  6. Calvin Johnson, WR, Lions
  7. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals
  8. Terrell Suggs, DE, Ravens
  9. Justin Smith, DL, 49ers
  10. LeSean McCoy, RB, Eagles
