With Our Lady of the Links, Marima, on vacation, there's a small chance that some of the Patriots faithful are feeling under-exposed when it comes to Patriots news and links. To answer that call, along comes Super-Patriot Rob Gronkowski in a valiant effort to expose himself.
According to a report by the New York Post, Rob Gronkowski, Maurice Jones-Drew and other athletes will pose nude for ESPN The Magazine's fourth rendition of their "Body Issue".
Rob Gronkowski, Maurice Jones-Drew, Tyson Chandler and Abby Wambach are among the athletes who will strip down to pose in ESPN The Magazine's fourth annual "Body Issue."
Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista, Rangers forward Brad Richards and WNBA star Candace Parker will also appear in the July 13 edition.
Having never viewed the first three renditions of the "Body Issue" or for that matter ever seen ESPN The Magazine, I can only hope that whatever pictures they take will be tastefully done and reflect positively on the franchise's premiere Tight-End. Apparently, ESPN has had Gronk in their sights for a long time.
The magazine's editor in chief, Chad Millman, says they try to pick athletes who "just recently popped."
Gronkowski is a classic example of that. The New England Patriots tight end emerged as one of the NFL's biggest offensive stars this past season - and it doesn't hurt that he has a penchant for appearing shirtless in photos. The magazine had a commitment from him way back last fall.
So for those of you who just can't see enough of Rob Gronkowski, ESPN The Magazine will take you where few dare to tread. "Yo soy fiesta" - now in the flesh.
