New England Patriots (1-1) at Baltimore Ravens (1-1)
Ravens Coverage: Baltimore Beatdown
After trailing 13-0 after one quarter, the Baltimore Ravens were able to turn things around against the Patriots in the second quarter, thanks in part to a handful of very questionable pass interference calls that shifted momentum in the game.
The Ravens started their comeback with a 25-yard yard touchdown pass down the left sideline from Joe Flacco to Torrey Smith - who out-jumped Kyle Arrington for the football. After getting the ball back, the Ravens proceeded to run the ball down the throat of the Patriots defense. A long pass from Flacco to Jacoby Jones put the Ravens deep in Patriots territory, and the drive was capped off by a Flacco to Dennis Pitta touchdown on third and four to give the Ravens a 14-13 lead.
However, with under two minutes to play, Brady and the offense got the ball back and executed a beautiful two minute drill. The drive lasted for nine plays and went 81 yards, with Brady connecting with Julian Edelman on a seven yard touchdown leaving just two seconds on the clock.
It was a back and forth first half, with both teams dominating at times. The Ravens will get the ball to start the second half.
