NFL Week Four Game Picks

Game picks for the slate of week four NFL games.

Making my picks for the rest of week four's NFL games:

Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons are arguably the NFL's hottest team right now, and the Panthers have just been too inconsistent to rely on to pull the upset. The Pick: Falcons 34 Panthers 19

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions: Detroit just hasn't looked like the same team that made the playoffs in 2010, and I think Minnesota's underrated defense takes advantage of Matthew Stafford mistakes in an upset win. The Pick: Vikings 23 Lions 20

Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans: The only other team in the NFL arguably as hot as the Falcons: The Texans. Tennesee got a much needed win against the Lions last week, but this Texans team is just too much... not to mention they're at home. The Pick: Texans 31 Titans 16

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs: Which Chiefs team will we get today? Will it be the one that pulled off an impressive comeback against the Saints? Or will it be the team that looked awful in the first two weeks? I'll take the Chiefs at home, although this one could easily go either way. The Pick: Chiefs 24 Chargers 20

San Francisco 49ers at New York Jets: The 49ers were shocked last week by the Vikings - and I think that loss will serve as a strong wake up call. Being a contender puts a large target on your back week-in and week-out, and I think the 49ers rebound against the Jets in week four. The Pick: 49ers 27 Jets 13

Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams: The Seahawks and Rams are both teams on the upswing - and I really like Seattle's defense. If the offense can start to improve, they could be in contention for a playoff spot down the line. The Pick: Seahawks 23 Rams 13

Miami Dolphins at Arizona Cardinals: Heading into the season, I didn't think Ryan Tannehill would progress as much as he has. The Cardinals are one of just three undefeated NFL teams, and while they'll be favored in this game, I see the Dolphins pulling off an upset here. The Pick: Dolphins 20 Cardinals 19

Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos: I really don't see Peyton Manning and the Broncos losing three straight - especially since they're at home. They need a win to avoid a 1-3 hole, and I think they'll do just that. The Pick: Broncos 31 Raiders 17

Cincinnati Bengals at Jacksonville Jaguars: The Bengals' offense has looked prolific the last two weeks, and I expect them to continue that trend against Jacksonville today. The Pick: Bengals 34 Jaguars 16

New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers: Heading into the year, I don't think anyone could have predicted that this highly anticipated week four match-up would feature one combined win between the two teams. Nonetheless, I think the Packers will recover and have a strong season. It starts with a win over the Saints today. The Pick: Packers 38 Saints 31

Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Greg Schiano is doing really great things with that Tampa Bay bunch - a group that was talented, but really needed some good coaching. It also seems that Tampa's high profile free agent signings are paying off. The Pick: Buccaneers 27 Redskins 21

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles: I think both of these teams are similarly talented, but I just haven't seen anything consistent out of Michael Vick this year... certainly not enough to make me think they can beat their division rivals. The Pick: Giants 27 Eagles 24

Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys: This game could be really close, or really lopsided - it really depends on which Cowboys team decides to show up. The Pick: Cowboys 27 Bears 17
