Patriots, Bengals Scoreless after One Quarter

Update after one quarter of the Patriots vs. Bengals week five match-up.

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals are tied at zero following one quarter of action in their week five match-up.

After a long Bengals drive, Brandon Spikes intercepted Andy Dalton in the red zone.

The Patriots have struggled on offense, picking up just a couple of first downs.  They've been plagued by miscommunication along the offensive line that has led to two sacks of quarterback Tom Brady.

Meanwhile, on defense, things got off to a nice start before the long Bengals drive.  The Patriots did a nice job in a couple of short yardage situations, but have struggled to keep the Bengals tight end duo of Tyler Eifert and Jermaine Gresham.

The Patriots have the ball to start the second quarter after the Brandon Spikes interception.
