Patriots vs. Panthers Inactives: Talib Returns

The Patriots have announced their inactives for their Monday night game against the Panthers, and the list excludes Aqib Talib, who will return from a hip injury.

The New England Patriots have announced their inactives for their week 11 game match-up against the Carolina Panthers:

LB Steve Beauharnais

CB Alfonzo Dennard

S Steve Gregory

RB Brandon Bolden

OL Chris Barker

DE Jake Bequette

RB Leon Washington

Thoughts:

Alfonzo Dennard is out with a knee injury as previously announced, but tonight will officially mark the return of Aqib Talib from his hip injury.  This will be big for the Patriots secondary, although the Dennard situation is certainly concerning.

At running back, Leon Washington is also inactive as he didn't make the trip.  However, Brandon Bolden is a healthy scratch here after being removed from the injury report Saturday.  This likely means that Shane Vereen will be the primary passing back in his return game.  Stevan Ridley will likely handle the 1st and 2nd down load, with LeGarrette Blount getting some touches as well.

Receivers Kenbrell Thompkins and Josh Boyce are both active tonight and could both see some snaps after being healthy scratches against the Steelers.  The Patriots released Austin Collie last week after he suffered a leg injury, opening up the #4 receiver spot.
