Patriots vs. Broncos: Game Thread

Open game thread for the Patriots' week 12 match-up against the Denver Broncos.

Jim Rogash

Tonight, the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos will face off in perhaps the most anticipated regular season game of the 2013 NFL season. Feel free to use this post as an open thread to discuss tonight's game.

As you've probably heard by now, temperatures are expected to be in the low 20's for the game, with winds above 20 MPH. Those conditions benefit the Patriots offense, as they have a more consistent running game than Denver, and Tom Brady throws the football with a lower trajectory and higher velocity than Peyton Manning.

That being said, this is a really tough match-up for the Patriots. They are relying on scotch tape to keep their top three cornerbacks on the field, and haven't exactly been stellar defensively since losing both Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo earlier in the season.

The Patriots offense has shown true signs of life the last ten quarters or so, and moved the ball at will against the Panthers last week. It will be tough for them to hang with the Broncos. If they can keep this game close, I think that will be an accomplishment in and of itself. Greg's Prediction: Broncos 34 Patriots 31
