The New England Patriots will be kicking off shortly against the Pittsburgh Steelers in week nine, but before we officially move to that game, I wanted to highlight one final play from week eight. And that play is one of the most fantastic of the Patriots' season thus far:
This of course, was the interception made by Marquice Cole in the fourth quarter of last week's game. The Patriots were up by three early in the fourth. Following the drive, the Patriots proceeded to go down the field and extend the lead to ten.
Marquice Cole, who played a higher snap count due to struggles from Kyle Arrington, explained the play after the game:
"Well, Devin just made a great break on the ball and when he jumped up to get it, I don't know if he though he wouldn't get his feet down, but I just said to him, ‘Tip it, tip it, tip it.' I don't know if he heard me or not, but the ball just came down and I got my feet in bounds."
Devin McCourty had the obvious assist on this one. The Patriots will be hoping to get a couple more plays like this one today.
Applebee’s 2 for $20 menu just got even better with new Honey Pepper Grill, which combines the sweet taste of pure honey with a hint of cracked black pepper. Try new Honey Pepper Sirloin and Honey Pepper Chicken & Shrimp on the neighborhood’s favorite menu today. One app, two entrées, only twenty bucks. See you tomorrow.
