According to Yahoo!, Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and actor Bradley Cooper stopped in Friday to visit one of the Boston Marathon bombing victims, Jeffrey Bauman, Jr.. Mr. Bauman, 27, lost both of his legs below the knees in Monday's terrorist attack. He was standing near the finish line to cheer on his girlfriend, who was running in the marathon.
His brother, Chris Bauman, said on Thursday that Jeffrey looked one of the bombers in the eyes just before the explosion, likely helping the FBI to identify the suspects. "He woke up under so much drugs, asked for a paper and pen and wrote, 'bag, saw the guy, looked right at me,'" Chris said.
With Bauman's help, the FBI were able to narrow their search through the hours of video at the scene. This eventually led to the identification of suspect, Dzhokar Tsarnaev, 19, who is still at large, and eventually his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who died in a fire fight with officials last night.
Edelman tweeted that Bauman was "a true inspiration to him":
