The Patriots have remained hard a work at draft pick negotiations, as they have struck a deal with third-round selection Logan Ryan, cornerback out of Rutgers, on a rookie contract. Ryan's agency, Schwartz and Feinsod, broke the news on the Twitter:
Logan Ryan has agreed to terms with the New England Patriots

With news of his agreement, Ryan becomes the third Patriots draftee to be under contract. Funny enough, he's the last Rutgers player that the team has come to an agreement with. Teammates Steve Beauharnais and Duron Harmon have already struck a deal with the team. Belichick seems to be going after his Rutgers guys first, before sitting down with the other, non-Scarlet Knights.
Ryan turned in a very solid junior season at Rutgers; starting all 13 games while recording 76 tackles and 3 interceptions. He was named a first-team, All-Big East selection for his efforts.
As for where he will fit in with the Pats, he is projected be a key component to the Patriots' secondary. He'll likely serve as key depth behind Aqib Talib, Alfonzo Dennard and Kyle Arrington. His presence can also hopefully push third-year corner Ras-I Dowling, who could be fighting for his life on this roster.
With Ryan now in the fold, the Patriots still need to sign draft picks Jamie Collins, Aaron Dobson, Josh Boyce and Michael Buchanan. Expect those agreements to happen sooner rather than later.
