Patriots vs. Eagles Preseason: Game Thread

Open discussion thread for the Patriots preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

David Butler II-US PRESSWIRE

I said it this morning, but I'll be more than happy to say it again: It might be the preseason, but football is here!

Tonight, the New England Patriots will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The game will kick off at 7:30 ET and will be broadcast regionally on the Patriots Preseason Network and nationally on NFL Network.

The game can also be streamed live via the NFL Preseason Live subscription.

I wouldn't expect the Patriots starters to play too much tonight - perhaps a series or two for Tom Brady and other key veterans. I do think some of the youngsters, such as the rookie receivers, could see some extended playing time. We will also likely see backup quarterbacks Ryan Mallett and Tim Tebow get some run.

Feel free to discuss the game here!
