My picks for week three of the 2013 NFL season:
Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens: The Houston Texans, much like the Patriots, have squeaked out victories in their first two weeks to go on to an 0-2 record. I think they win another close one today. The Pick: Texans 20 Ravens 16
New York Giants at Carolina Panthers: Two teams off to disappointing 0-2 starts. At least one of these teams will be feeling a little bit better after today. The Pick: Giants 27 Panthers 17
Green Bay Packers at Cincinnati Bengals: This figures to be one of the better match-ups of the week, but I'm going with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. The Green Bay offense was near impossible to stop last week. The Pick: Packers 31 Bengals 20
St. Louis Rams at Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys need to get more out of their running game, but I think Tony Romo and the Dallas passing attack could have a big game against the Rams. The Pick: Cowboys 24 Rams 17
Cleveland Browns at Minnesota Vikings: The Browns do get Josh Gordon back which will be a boost, but this is the type of game you need a running game to win. The Vikings have one with Adrian Peterson, and the Browns no longer have one with Trent Richardson being shipped to the Colts. The Pick: Vikings 21 Browns 13
Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints: I really like what the Cardinals are doing this year. Their defense is performing close to their 2012 level, and their pass centric attack on offense has led to improvements on that side of the ball. It will just be difficult to win at the Superdome against an improved Saints team. The Pick: Saints 23 Cardinals 20
San Diego Chargers at Tennessee Titans: Could it be that Philip Rivers is starting to look a little bit like, Philip Rivers? This will be yet another test against a Titans team that could easily be 2-0. The Pick: Chargers 31 Titans 20
Detroit Lions at Washington Redskins: This is a match-up that for one team, is a test to prove they haven't gone away. For the other, it's a chance to prove that they are back. The Pick: Lions 20 Redskins 17
Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins: If the Miami Dolphins are a serious threat to compete with the Patriots in the AFC East, this game will be a good indicator. The Pick: Falcons 24 Dolphins 23
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets: One of these AFC East teams will be 2-1 after today's game. I'll go with the Bills. I like E.J. Manuel a lot more than Geno Smith. Manuel has looked legit through two weeks. The Pick: Bills 17 Jets 13
Jacksonville Jaguars at Seattle Seahawks: I don't know if the Seahawks are as good as everyone is making them out to be. But they were convincing last week, and they shouldn't have any troubles with the Jaguars at home. The Pick: Seahawks 34 Jaguars 9
Indianapolis Colts at San Francisco 49ers: I feel like the Colts have more to prove in this match-up, but I still like the 49ers at home in a bounce-back. The Pick: 49ers 27 Colts 19
Chicago Bears at Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers need to pick up a win at some point, right? Chicago might be the favorite, but I like the Steelers at home. The Pick: Steelers 21 Bears 20
Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos: This game will be challenging the Seahawks-Jaguars match-up for most lopsided game of the week. The Pick: Broncos 34 Raiders 13
