The Patriots have agreed to the three year contract extension with defensive end Rob Ninkovich keeping him on the team through the 2016 season per ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss.

He has averaged over 54 tackles per season and tolaled 19 sacks and 4 interceptions since joining the team in 2009.
