The New England Patriots have announced their inactives for their week four Sunday night match-up against the Atlanta Falcons:
Danny Amendola, WR
Rob Gronkowski, TE
Matt Slater, WR
Steve Beauharnais, LB
Jake Bequette, DE
Chris Barker, OL
Leon Washington, RB
Thoughts:
There aren't any major surprises on this list. Danny Amendola, Rob Gronkowski, and Matt Slater had all already been ruled out. Leon Washington had made the trip, but apparently wasn't healthy enough to be active. That means yet another week of LeGarrette Blount handling kickoff return duties.
The big news here is who's active, and that's right tackle Sebastian Vollmer. It initially appeared that Vollmer would miss tonight's game after suffering a foot injury in week three, and not practicing until Friday. For a player that has struggled with injuries throughout his career, it's a good sign that he apparently won't miss any games with this latest ailment. Third year tackle/guard Marcus Cannon would have started in his place.
