Shane Vereen out with a Broken Wrist

Jay Glazer reports that Shane Vereen will undergo surgery for a broken bone in his wrist today.

One of the heroes of the Bills' game, Shane Vereen, apparently broke his wrist while rushing for 101 yards on 14 carries and reeling in 7 passes for 58 yards.

Vereen finished the game without coming out, but experienced some numbness after the game per Jay Glazer.

Vereen will undergo surgery today to fix the problem, and is expected to be out a few weeks per Glazer.

Stevan Ridley, who was sidelined after a fumble on Sunday, will probably be back in the rotation sooner than expected.  The role of third down back though, may be filled by Leon Washington who was resigned by the Patriots and played that position in the preseason.
