The New England Patriots hopes for a Super Bowl are clinging to a thread. Early in the 4th quarter, they trail the Denver Broncos 23-3. The Patriots now have the football, and have been unable to get the ball into the end zone.
Denver opened up the second half with a drive that lasted nearly eight minutes and was finished with a Peyton Manning to Demaryus Thomas touchdown. The Patriots would drive down the field on the next drive, but chose to go four it on fourth and two from within the 30 and had another Tom Brady sack.
Peyton Manning is on fire. And without Aqib Talib, the Patriots have no answer for Thomas.
The Patriots have been thoroughly outcoached and outplayed in this one.
This Patriots team has no quit and I won't ever count them out until the clock reads zero. But from all appearances, it looks like there will not be any comeback today.
