There's trouble in paradise for the New England Patriots. After losing various assistant coaches, it now appears that they may lose their direct of player personnel, Nick Caserio. NBC's Dianna Russini reports that the Miami Dolphins have offered their general manager position to Caserio after interviewing him for the second time on Saturday.
In a series of tweets, Russini says that nothing has been finalized, and that Caserio has yet to make a final decision. However, more is expected to be known within the next 24 hours.
Source in Miami: Dolphins have offered GM job to Patriots director of pro personnel Nick Caserio.

Nick Caserio started with the Patriots as a personnel assistant in 2001, but also spent time as an offensive coaching assistant, area scout, and wide receivers coach. He was the team's director of player personnel from 2004 to 2006, and from 2008 until this year.
This would be a huge loss for the Patriots, as Caserio has been alongside Bill Belichick for some of their greatest drafts in team history since his role in scouting increased after the departure of Scott Pioli.
One thing's for sure, the Dolphins are acquiring a young, experienced, and versatile asset in their organization, if Nick Caserio chooses to accept the position.
